Guruji: On Datta (Dattātreya) and His Inner Meaning

Guruji:

Datta is energy of āmnāya pūjā.
Anasūyā is mother of Datta and she gave the power of Brahmā to Datta.
Datta is seen in Śrīcakra in the form of Brahmī, who is four-faced, but only three faces are visible in front.

Bhūḥ, bhuvaḥ and suvaḥ in the Gāyatrī mantra are Brahmā, Viṣṇu, Rudra respectively and they are the aṃśas of Datta.

The four dogs that appear with Datta are the four Vedas.

Datta is the guru for the 64 tantras, 64,000 upa-tantras and for upaṇa tantras — Dakṣiṇāmūrti Tantra, Datta Tantra.

There is no difference between Dakṣiṇāmūrti and Dattātreya; only in pūjā vidhānam there is slight difference.

The mukoṭam for Datta is:
“om dram dram om”
“dram aham aham dram”

da means jananī,
ra means sṛṣṭi,
ā means sthitiḥ,
m means layam.

When ego breaks down?

Guruji:

Ego breaks down if
1. We understand the nature of senses,
2. The need to let go of our attachment to senses,
3. Train ourselves to work free of filters and limitations,
4. And finally let go of sense limits by suspending judgments.

All these are the objects of Goddess worship, and Tantra of Lalitha

5 hapiness sutras

Guruji:

  1. Develop a positive attitude. You become healthy.

  2. Work only 5.5 hrs per day.

  3. Be social. Be alive. Love people, not gadgets (cars, properties, clothes create debts and can’t love you back). Spend more time with family, friends, weekly happy hour and community clubs.

  4. Volunteer. You are inherently kind and generous. Find the joy of giving and sharing starting from childhood. Even small sacrifices give great joy.

  5. Laugh. Bodies can’t distinguish faked and genuine laughter. So fake: it generates genuine laughter.

A Summary of Queries by People: Guruji's Practical Remedies for Common Life Problems

Guruji: You approach me for solutions for most of your day to day problems personally/phone/email. I have made a summary of your queries and the usual advice I give. Check here first before trying to get answers individually.

“I put in lot of effort. But I am not getting results. Something or the other happens, and the result does not come. Whether it is business, or job trials, or studies, I am not getting results. Help me.”

Ganapati creates obstacles. Appeased, He provides solutions. In short, I recommend Ganapati japa, tarpana, for 44 days, do homa with the dried leaves, and feeding 10 people.

If you don’t know this, here is a short explanation. Wherever you are, go to a nearby Ganapati temple. Go 28 rounds around the temple chanting:

“Om Sreem Hreem Kleem Glaum Gam Ganapathaye Vara Varada Sarva Janam Me Vasham Aanaya Svaahaa.”

Break a coconut. Make a wish. Tell Ganapati:

“I will chant your mantra 444 times daily for 44 days. I will make your image of you on any leaf (beetle leaf is best) like a pyramid with turmeric powder. I will offer perfumed water to it saying your mantra 444 times. I will offer the 44 leaves into fire with your mantra. I will feed 10 people. Please open a gateway to solve my problem.”

“My daughter/son is not getting married, however much we try.
My wife/husband quarrels with me. There is no peace in home.
We are trying but no children. We got checked. Low sperm count or small uterus or irregular menses. We are using medicines. We really want a boy/girl. Help us.”

Usually some kind of Naga/Kuja dosha works against conjugal harmony or begetting children. This is connected with sex chakra. Doing puja and mantra massage there gives results.

These are best done after invoking 100 jeeva kalas into the girl to be married or infertile woman or couple. The main mantras used are:

  1. Ganesha

  2. Subrahmanya

  3. Baala

  4. Guru

Rudrabhishekam and rudra homam also help.

These are complicated procedures, and not to be attempted without initiation and training. You can get this done at Devipuram or in places in India or abroad where trained teachers can be found. Siri Jyoti puja at your home is an excellent way of clearing your home from all evil influences.

“I am interested in learning Srividya after proper initiation and kalavahana. I am fed up with shortcuts which don’t work. I want moksha and directly see and experience Goddess. But I have to support my family, and don’t have much time for sadhana.”

You should take proper deeksha from a guru you believe in. Be in the presence of Guru, physically or astrally. Follow his/her advice. For some, realization comes early; for some, it may take many lifetimes. It all depends on the range and depth of vasanas.

Together, these questions cover 95% of the cases.
May Goddess help you solve your problems and show you the proper way.

DEVIPURAM AMMA JATARAS — Festivals of the Living Goddess and the Body of Consciousness

Guruji:

Devi-puram means the body of Consciousness. Devipuram is the body of every living being, including you, me and all. It is also a place between Anakapalle and Sabbavaram where a great temple is made for Devi to live with Her family.

Amma is the mother of all.

Before she is an adult, she is a virgin Baala.
After marriage, She cleanses Herself and makes Ganesha to remove obstacles for creation.
She assembles your body in Her womb combining Her red blood ovum and white seed of Her spouse.
These seeds are made of earth, water, fire, air, space.

She is called Gouri.
She nourishes and protects you against harmful beings and diseases with Her milk, a white form of blood.
She is called Shyama.
She educates you and makes you an adult.
Then she is called Kali or Koli.

Finally She is always sporting with Her lover Shiva.

We celebrate Her gift of life with gratitude in Her devotion, loving Her through a MAD ecstasy of Music, Art and Dance festivals.

Meaning of Jatara

Jatara means a festival.

Five Jataras Every Year

  1. Baala Jatara
Before and after Guru Pournami, because our Guru is Balaji, a virgin form of Amma.

  2. Ganesh Jatara
Around Ganapati Navaratris to remove self imposed obstacles to creativity and procreation.

  3. Durga Puja Time
During Sharada Navaratris – 10 days.

  4. Shyama and Koli
    Remaining Aswija masam
(Koli is short for Kola mukhi or Varahi)

  5. Amma in Sri Chakra
    Kartikam, Pushya masam.

Common Steps for All Festivals

  1. Draw the yantra of Baala, Ganesha, Durga, Shyama, Koli, and Amma.

  2. Decorate yantras with short (1 meter) poles and decorate seats for people.

  3. Seat people – virgins, singles, couples – to energy centers in yantras.

  4. Invoke 100 jeevakalas to all seated Gods / goddesses. Give panchamrit. TK1

  5. Invoke Amma’s life into each participant. Do puja to all limbs, 16u puja. TK2

  6. Do puja with flowers and gandha pushpa akshatas with LS, Khadgamala. TK3

Cultural Program

Then organize songs, skits with social themes, and dance by all.
The function concludes with arati and naivedya prasadams.

Meaning of Amma Puja

The idea of Amma puja is to recognize that fun and spirituality go together.

Devi is life itself; she is best appreciated by loving life, and creating new life forms of people organizing and working together as one life, with a purpose of enhancing quality of life for every one in the organization.

Three Parts of This Activity

  1. Lose individual identity in group identity.

  2. Develop group consciousness, a sense of belonging to the group.
Every one is called Amma; together they become Baala, Ganapati, Shyama, Koli, or Amma.

  3. Each yantra is self organizing; only information through web feeding it.

It all starts from Devipuram, a place near Anakapalle, circles the world and comes back to Devipuram.
Devipuram is the new name for a new united world.

Devipuram Siri Jotis: Abundant Light Through Collective Awakening

Guruji:

  1. For most of us life is a struggle: 90% tension and 10% happiness. We are all suffering from some problem or other all the time whether created by ourselves or the society we live in. Society demands conformity. We are punished if we do not conform to its standards. Most of the time we can’t solve our problem all by ourselves. We do need help. First, we do seek and get help from people known to us. But the people we know are very limited, may be a thousand in the entire human population. Next we consult internet to get help. Even that cannot solve if nature is disruptive. Nature can be violent as for example in extremes of heat and cold, tsunamis, volcanoes, hurricanes, and breakdowns of power and communications. Nature can also be wonderful and lovable when controlled. We can get unlimited abundance and powers not only from people, but also from all of nature when controlled. We call unseen controllers of Nature powers as Devas and Devis. To get help form Nature, we have to follow its law: first we have to sow before we can reap. It means we have to give first before we can get help from to controllers of nature. Help from Goddess Nature is what we really need to solve all our problems and enjoy our life in peace. We have to move from I as an individual to we as an individual. We have to join as a team and work towards a common goal. One common goal can be empowering each one of us and the team. To achieve this goal, we can create a simple team building fun event near our own homes.

  2. How can we design such an event? Suppose we first draw a geometrical diagram which can attract all benign powers of nature. Such power diagrams are well known in all cultures as mandalas or chakras. Let us put each participant’s life force into a light placed in its centre. Into that light, we call powers of Fire, Sun and Moon, and all elements including time. Then we invite the unending happiness flowing from blending all feminine graces and masculine powers. Then we invoke compassion into eyes, music into speech, nectar of love into its heart and creative powers into its womb. We share in fun what we have and get what we really need to solve our problems. Suppose 100 of join as a team. Each one of us gives one unit of life energy into the center light. When we take it back into us, every one of us receives 100 units of pure life energy. The team receives 100x100 life energies. Such is the potency of power working in team work. By letting go of alienation from each other, we glow with love, grace and power, sharing and caring for each of us. Our life becomes that much easier because all around us are fields of love, light and laughter.

  3. We call such event Siri Jotis meaning abundant lights: emitting rainbow shades of love. The procedure is easy to learn and easy to do. It comes from ancient wisdom called Srividya, It is time tested. It can be learned in just a day and done in 4 hrs once a month. 1 hr for drawing, one hr for decoration with lights, flowers and snacks, one hr for calling in powers of nature along with its controllers, and one hr of fun and sharing with music and dance. It is spreading like an expanding like a wave front enveloping our globe. Interested to learn more? Please make sure you visit the website www.devipuram.com. Devipuram is spelled as d e v i p u r a m.

Realize: who you really are, the importance of your body and how it is related to the universe.
Feel: the state of love in yourself, and everything that surrounds you to make yours the meaning of life.
Understand: why it is more blessed to give than to receive by experiencing divine presence in all people.
